It seems like they're all coming to sunny So.California where so - called " collectors" buy them and store away in a garage , refusing to drive and enjoy them

Yours looks nice , what year is it ? SP ? DP ? 6 V. ? 12 V. what ?

hello natel!
i think i know what you mean. i've had so many "serious" enquiries for this van it's just not true.
and not only from california.....
it's a 67,rhd and original walkthru.12 volt,1500 cc.was a swiss post van. it's not on the road(needs a few details,like a weeks work to get thru inspection here),but drives well.i'll maybe get it finished before the fall and drive it myself ,i only know of 1 other one here on the road.great for taking parts to shows and antique markets!
i have a few bay westys and a deluxe and 2 ghias and a 181 as well.
anyone else got one of these?

. how about posting some jpegs ? . I'm jealous !
I like 181's too - had a couple 20 years ago . you get the good ones with reduction boxes , swing axles and real bus taillights , correct ? . our's (N.A.) were O.K. but not real heavy duty like Euro & Mexico spec. ones .

I have seen a high top like yours parked on the pavement on a road leading out of west london. It was a rusty dark blue with a german logo painted across the side. I returned a week later for a closer look, but i think it was locked away in a near by garage. i havent seen it since.
anyone else got one of these?

hi! finally getting round to putting some pics here. my 181 is as you say,i don't really like the look of some of the later ones with elephantsfeet lights and whatnot.
there's a few split hitops in the uk,but they're not as popular as they will be....
anyone else got one of these?
