looking for z bed

Post by troy »

hello all,
i have been looking for a z-bed for my 71 westy... i need the extra width for the rear seat to fit the 3 child seats i now need. the extra width might also be nice for sleeping on too.

Thanks

Troy, here are a couple of places to check for VW parts from private parties. http://www.bcn.net/~limbo/ http://www.type2.com/
For Limbo it`s swap area. For type2.com it`s the buy and sell area
For a new Z-bed try Z Products Wilsonville, Oregon. http://www.zproducts.com/
If that does`nt get it there is a network of used VW parts suppliers but it usually preferable to deal private party. Let us know if you locate a bed. Good Luck. Bob

Not sure where Petaluma is but the Pick-A-Part junkyard just off Rt I-5 north of Fresno (next to Poor Boys) always has plenty of good campers and they're cheap , too - every P.A.P. I've been in in Ca. has at least _one_ old (pre-'72) V.W. camper , usually several and they are always low milage vehicles so I strip out lots of good bits .
