I'm looking for a split bus and found this one on the samba. Rust looks to be minimal but there is that smack in the rear. I can fix it but is it worth the money? I've sent an offer. What do you guys think?
Thanks,

That bus is probably more than you want to get into if your worried about perceived worth. Go to classic car trader's web site and do a search for vw's in the Southeast. If you keep looking you will find what you want. Patience is the true key in finding a potential VW. Just my 2 pennies.

Dave looks like it needs both rear corners and the right rear 1/4 panel. And some of that surface rust will be more than that when it is cleaned up. I think that there are some holes hiding under it.

For the money and goods that come with it is a fair price. The rear conner will need some serious work but you could clean it up and piant it and do the corner later.

Depends on what you want to do with it.

I say go for it!

I think I'm gonna pass on this one. Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll continue to put some cash back and wait for one that is need of MINOR bodywork and needs an engine/trans.

"MINOR bodywork" in GA! ROFLMAO

Expect to pay out the a$$ for a nice bus or do some bodywork. At least for a split, bays are a dime a dozen, but even more and more of them are in need of some body work (like the front window ledge or bat tray).
