I'm looking for the Spanish Edition of the John Muir book "How to Keep Your VW Alive Forvever". I'm trying to find it for a friend, but am having no luck. Please help if you can. Would like a new one, but will consider used if not too greasy or beat up. Thanks...

Hiya Head,
My daughter is an editor for Avalon Travel Publishing, the corporate entity which now owns and publishes Muir. Would you like me to check with her on the availability of a Spanish Language Muir?

YOU BETCHA!:
If your daughter could locate a new Muir Book for Idiots en Espanol, it would make a very nice friend of mine very happy. I want to give it to him for Christmas, because he is driving to Mexico to buy an old Oval from his friend down there and restore it from ground up. It make a close friend very happy. Keep me posted.

Hiya Head,
I'll let you know in the next couple of days. As it turns out she is coming home (Portland) for her birthday and I'll get a chance to quiz her about it.

Hiya Head,
I asked my daughter to check up on the Muir Espanol version.
Here's the report......While Muir was still an independent publishing company back in the eighties they did do a Spanish edition of the "Idiot Book". But they did not continue it. Poor sales? Who knows?
Avalon Travel Publishing publishes Muir only in English. And ATP may not be doing that for long. There seems to be little interest in this old standard.
If you just have to have a copy of Muir in Spanish my daughter recommends hitting the resellers and online auctions.

Thanks for the leads. It is unfortunate that it is no longer published en Espanol. Being from Tejas, there is a large Hispanic community that love the Dub. They focus quite heavily on the Cal-Look and Lowrider style, but hey, Air-Cooled is Air-Cooled.
Off to ebay I go...
