Bus Partial Resto in So Cal

Can anyone recommend a reasonable experience in the So Cal area restoring a bus? My 1970 has cancer under the front winshield. I do need a show bus, just a decent job.

I tried west coast...one year wait and essentially a 10K minimum restoration is what they are lined up to do - and they have plenty of business at that.

This will be a daily driver...I just need a decent job in treating the cancer.

Any other recommendations?

Try Das Bulli Boys in Fullerton, run by Longhair John, whose welding skills have been featured in most of the welding articles in recent Hot VWs. He did my windshield beatifully. He's in the same industrial complex as West Coast Classics.
