late bay rear discs ?

any body know if you can use the rear discs off say Audi/Volvo/Merc etc on the rear stub axles with little to no modification for a late 70's bay
the stud patterns seem to be the same but i dont know anything about the bearings etc
can any body help me stop a fairly quick van a little quicker
