Opinions on Door Hinges

Ok, I won't be doing this for a while...but Opinions are greatly appreciated.

My '60 Ghia's Doors are in terriffic condition. This includes the door hinges. The doors operate glass smooth, have no play in the hinge pins, no sagging etc...

When I get down to the nitty-gritty of painting my car...Should I..or should I not.. remove the doors prior to painting to ensure the paint gets into all the necessary corners ?

I'm worried that I'll never be able to get them on straight again...and they're SOooo prefect right now.

I'm in the same boat as you and I'm leaving the doors on my '74 Coupe. All the glass, seals, etc are removed but the doors are staying. I'm doing the painting so I'll make extra certain to get all the areas. I'd leave the doors on. My .02 worth

While we're on the subject of hinges, were they originally painted the same color as the car or were they natural? Mine's been painted so many times I can't tell what's correct. Thanks

The detail of bare higes looks really nice, but getting the doors on with out scratching the paint will be a trick.

Ghias came with the hinges painted the same color as the body. I have owned and parted out enough of them to know.
