How many 'clamps" do I need to put on the latch release cable for it to work? I clamped the cable at the furthest front point on the fender, but seems not to work. Luckily, I don't have my horns installed yet so I can reach the latch through the hole in order to pop the hood.
Is there something else I'm missing?

tia.....do you have the release cable mounted in your glove box?....My glove box ripped and now i cant open mine! I've been opening mine through the horn boot also...I have a lever style instead of the knob style and i noticed that when I move the lever that the sleeve on the lever end moves also...I'm pretty sure that If the sleeve is clamped fast allowing just the cable inside to travel that it should work....This is what I'm hoping anyway...I'm not enjoying opening my trunk because i still have my boot and horns attached...almost tore some skin the last time.....later angelo from allentown
