Tough luck bud. At least it wasn't the whole thing. Look on the bright side, your alive to fix it. Does that stuff clean of ok? If not try simple green.
Ah man, that stuff sucks to clean. It doesn't mix with water, it just turns into this pastey stuff. Oh yeah, im definetly gonna fix it. All that really burned was the right side carb (and some of the paint). Some of the powder got in the intake though, so I gotta pull the heads so it doesnt get into the case. I think I'm going to go with steel braided fuel lines this time!
That is a shame, bro. I hate to see anyones ride get screwed like that, but it's especially grave when a good looking car like yours gets it.
At least let it be a lesson to everyone...use good quality fuel line, and check it often during your regular maintenance.
P.S..it looks like they saved far more than they hurt with the fire extinguisher.
Well, good news, I got it all fixed! Popped on some different carbs I had llying around and it fired right up. The sad thing now is the tranny just went about a week ago. Its always something...
