All 73-up beetles are called fat chicks. At least thats what I call them.

Gotcha. I wasn't trying to be snotty, but as I understood it "Fat Chicks," are Supers.

a fat chick is any car after 67 with irs rear end, thats what makes them fat as it is slightly wider than the swing axle

a lot of folks (it seems) don't know what the "fatchick" stands for or where it came from....it has nothing to do with it being 73-up and it has nothing to do with the rear suspension....alot of markets(outside of US) had swing axle until the end of production....but the later models were still "fatchicks"

Isnt the term "fat chick" from the fact that post ´67 beetles as well as fat women, are unwanted because they´re ugly?
