This is my other VW, 1969 Ghia Coupe. It has a 2" narrowed ft. beam with CB dropped spindles, KYB GR2s on all 4 corners, Vintage American Racing 8 spokes, 145 front tires and 165 backs. It has a two-tone red and black interior with center console, vintage Hurst trigger shifter (pics coming soon) I am getting ready to upgrade to a 1955cc 76x90.5 motor. I will post more pics soon.

Nice.
Wondering if you have any wheel rub? I have been thinking about the 2" narrowed beam for my 71 and am not sure if I want to or not. Would like to switch to aftermarket 5.5" wide rims, but am not sure. I know the offset of the rims makes things better/worse, but with your setup do your wheels rub the fenders?
Thanks

wheel rub
Sorry for the delay in posting - been on a lot of travel and vacation. Werka, I do have wheel rub when turning in a parking lot/low speed. The tires rub the outside on the fender. If I had a 3" narrowed beam there would be no problem, or if I raised the car an inch. It is really low, with 2 1/2 drop spindles and the adj beam almost all the way down. I am thinking of switching to 2 liter rims - they have better backspacing than the American Racing 8 spokes on there now.
