After last weekends test session we knew superbug 110 needed some serious suspension setup. Fellow racer Derek van der Merwe came to our aid with scales and gave the bug a proper corner weight setup.
Saturday morning practice saw the beetle 2nd quickest on track with a 1:11,011 which we were quite happy about. We dialed in a little more rear brakes and then waited for qualifying.
Qualifying saw a full field of 45+ cars out on track at the same time. The traffic on track was really bad!!! I managed to get one clean lap before the session was red flagged. That lap was good for 2nd on the grid.

Race 1. The pole sitter managed to put himself into the wall on the warmup lap. He managed to get going again and retook the pole position. I managed to get into the lead on lap 1 by passing the leader on the outside of turn 4 with a turbo polo close behind the bug. Three laps in the bug's boost pipe decided to shoot off which left the bug with zero boost. This meant a dnf for race 1.

Race 2. Race distance was shortened from 8 to 6 laps due to sunset. We Started at the back of class A. 13th position. The beetle had an absolutely amazing start and lap after lap made up positions and finished 3rd on track. Race 2 also saw the beetle put up fastest lap of the race.

A big thank you to everyone involved. For the first year of racing superbug 110 it has surely been a good race season. Even with a dnf in race 1 we have extended the class championship lead to 13 points.
